Summer 2010 ends in Guantanamo and a new school year begins, which, taking into account the current situation affecting the world in general, has undertaken major reforms in sports education.
According to Msc. Paula Robles Cisneros, Director of Sports in Guantanamo municipality explains that this school year began with a downsizing and changes in important programs.
As for sports, Jorge Olivares Castro, assistant director in this sector in Guantanamo, said that in this new school year there are 852 employees to work for a total a total of 28 sports in 65 sports facilities.
As part of this serious rearrangement in sports education, the category 13-14 years disappears from the Sports School, and will continue their training process in other areas as reserves of high-performance athletes prepared in these schools.
Coaches and teachers are now taking preparatory workshops in order to carry out their activities with success, considering those reforms carried out along the country.
